Miami, FL (August 18, 2020) – Nashville, Tennessee-based Latitude announces the addition of Emily Romberg as Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement in its Miami office. Before joining Latitude, Emily was a real estate attorney at Miami-based law firm Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri, where she represented major lenders, investors, and developers in complex commercial real estate transactions. Emily began her legal career as a real estate attorney at large corporate law firms, including Akerman and Bilzin Sumberg.
“We are excited to add Emily to our Miami team. Emily’s experience practicing law in sophisticated law firms, including one of the largest firms in the nation, ensures that she understands the high expectations of the attorneys and clients that Latitude serves,” said Andy Chagui, President of Latitude Miami. “Additionally, as a Miami native who has practiced here most of her career, Emily has deep knowledge of, and relationships throughout, the South Florida legal market, which is a major asset to candidates seeking new opportunities in this region,” said Chagui.
“Not surprisingly, many law firms and legal departments are adjusting to changing market circumstances, which is driving demand for Latitude’s high-end contract attorneys and paralegals. Emily will play a vital role in recruiting and placing candidates nationwide for these types of roles, as well as for permanent positions,” concluded Chagui.
“I was drawn to Latitude because of its focus on attorney quality, its commitment to providing life-changing, highly-paid career opportunities for its attorneys, and its impressive roster of corporate and law firm clients,” said Romberg. “I look forward to helping high-end attorneys find rewarding positions that match their personal and professional goals.”
Emily received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2003 and her Bachelor of Business Administration in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami in 2001.
Latitude expanded into Miami in January of 2020 under the leadership of Chagui, formerly a shareholder at AmLaw 200 firm Carlton Fields.
