Did you decide to go to law school after reading To Kill A Mockingbird? Ever wish you were representing David against Goliath? Latitude is assisting one of Nashville’s oldest and most prestigious boutique firms to fill a mid-level litigation associate opening. If you are ready to take on challenging cases for worthy causes, if you have a fire in your belly to represent everyday people from all walks of life, if you yearn to stretch your Perry Mason muscles and get into the courtroom, then consider applying for this position.
This job involves representing plaintiffs in complex litigation, including whistleblower qui tam lawsuits, shareholder securities class actions, civil rights and white-collar criminal defense matters (no personal injury litigation). The successful candidate will be able to jump into the ring and take the lead on depositions, drive their own cases and second-chair high-stakes federal litigation cases, build relationships with clients, get into the courtroom and build a meaningful, impactful career – all within a supportive and collaborative firm environment where efficiency and smart strategy are rewarded over billable hours.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience with a law firm and a passion for fast-paced, high-end, federal litigation. Prior deposition (or NITA Deposition Skills training), discovery and drafting experience required.
