Christu Will Serve as Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement, Connecting Outstanding Legal Talent with Flexible Legal Roles
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 23, 2022) – Maria Christu has joined Latitude as Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement in the company’s Minneapolis office. In this role, she works with experienced attorneys, paralegals, legal operations professionals and compliance officers in Minnesota and nationwide to place them in sophisticated flexible engagement and permanent positions with Latitude’s legal department and law firm clients.
Before joining Latitude, Maria served for 18 years as Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President of Advocacy at Children’s Minnesota, a 400+ bed pediatric health system in Minneapolis/St. Paul. In that role, Maria led the legal, compliance, risk management, information security and government affairs functions for the organization. Prior to her position at Children’s Minnesota, Maria was an Associate General Counsel at UnitedHealth Group. Her legal career started at the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office where she advised government agencies on healthcare regulatory matters.

Christu earned her B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She is an adjunct professor and a member of the Health Law Institute Advisory Board at Mitchell Hamline. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Health Law Association.
