A leading international law firm regularly advised clients on cross-border matters involving U.S. law. When U.S.-specific issues arose, the firm typically referred that work to external U.S.-based law firms.
Seeking to improve efficiency and retain more work internally, as well as provide a more integrated client experience, the firm looked to establish a flexible bench of U.S.-qualified lawyers who could support matters as needed.
SOLUTION
The firm partnered with Latitude to assemble a team of U.S.-qualified lawyers across the firm’s highest-demand practice areas including antitrust, U.S. securities and Blue Sky compliance, equity-based compensation, tax, and general corporate and commercial matters. The team is available to support matters as U.S.-related issues arise, often under tight timelines.
Team members include former partners and senior associates from Am Law 100 firms, as well as former U.S. regulators and in-house counsel with significant experience advising on U.S. securities filings, tax structuring for cross-border transactions, equity compensation, antitrust compliance, and corporate law.
This flexible model allows the firm to retain U.S.-related billable work while bringing in Latitude attorneys on an as-needed basis. The approach provides the benefit of expanded capability without the cost of permanent hires, improving coordination and turnaround times.
