When the Chief of Litigation at a global firm that advises companies on sustainability and risk management strategies prepared to take maternity leave, the company sought a full-time, USA-based interim in-house litigation attorney who could step into the role during her leave and manage the company’s litigation docket in both the United States and internationally. The ideal candidate needed extensive in-house experience and the ability to provide high-level strategic litigation support across multiple jurisdictions.

SOLUTION

Latitude provided a seasoned attorney with over 15 years of in-house litigation experience, including previous leadership of U.S. government investigations and litigation for a multinational pharmaceutical corporation.

The Latitude Attorney seamlessly stepped into the interim role, taking charge of a diverse portfolio of domestic and international litigation. During her engagement with the company, she oversaw complex business disputes, vendor contract matters, and claims involving unfair business practices and misrepresentation. In addition, she supervised a cross-border team of employment lawyers and a paralegal, engaged external counsel in a range of countries, and provided strategic advice to North American business leaders on contract dispute resolution.

The general counsel praised the Latitude Attorney for her professionalism, strategic insight, and the high caliber of her work—ultimately providing a glowing reference for her contributions during the engagement.
