Lauren Maier

Lauren is an Operations & Client Support Manager based in Latitude’s Tampa office.

In this role, she focuses on business development, client support, and operational strategy for the Tampa Bay market.

Before joining Latitude, Lauren practiced as a litigation associate at a Tampa commercial litigation boutique, where her work spanned commercial disputes and real estate litigation for clients ranging from national corporations to family-owned companies, as well as outside general counsel support for Florida-based small and midsize businesses.

Earlier in her career, she litigated at several other firms including Cole, Scott & Kissane, the largest insurance defense firm in Florida. In those roles, she represented national and multinational corporations and insurance carriers in third-party civil defense matters, with a focus on commercial premises liability, commercial transportation, and wrongful death claims.

Since making Tampa home in 2022, Lauren has become very involved in the local legal community and organizations including the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers. She currently serves as the HCBA Young Lawyer’s Division Professionalism and Ethics Co-Chair and is a graduate and current Co-Chair of the HAWL Leadership Academy.

Lauren earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she attended on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While at UM Law, she served on the Honor Counsel and interned with the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program. She received her B.A. from Florida State University (go ‘Noles!).

Lauren lives in South Tampa with her fiancé, where they spend their time enjoying the Florida sunshine with friends and family. Outside of work, she is a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200), an avid reader, an amateur chef, and a live music enthusiast.
