Benjamin is a Partner at Latitude and leads its Boston office.
In this role, Ben supports corporate legal departments and law firms in Massachusetts, New England, and nationwide, providing high-caliber, experienced attorneys and other legal talent for flexible short- and long-term engagements and permanent placements.
Drawing on more than two decades of experience as an in-house legal leader, Am Law 100 and midsize law firm attorney, and national law firm client services executive, Ben works with legal leaders to support them as they make informed decisions about how to structure their teams, manage legal budgets, and address their talent and capacity needs.
Having spent his career in private practice and leading corporate legal functions, Ben has been on both sides of the attorney-client relationship: as the lawyer doing the work and the executive deciding whom to hire. His experience building legal functions, assembling and leading legal teams, and advising senior executives and boards has shaped a pragmatic, business-minded approach that considers both the legal issues at hand and the broader commercial objectives and practical considerations behind them.
Before joining Latitude, Ben served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of three life sciences and technology companies, including two clinical-stage biotechnology companies. He built and led their legal functions from inception, guided the businesses through rapid growth, and advised executive leadership on corporate strategy, governance, and a wide range of legal and business matters.
Ben spent nearly a decade at Am Law 100 firm Mintz, where he served as national Director of Client and Community Relations and, before that, as a Senior Litigation Associate. As national director, he worked closely with firm leadership and attorneys across practices and offices to deepen client relationships, develop new business, deliver added value to clients, and expand the firm’s presence in key industries and communities. He began his legal career as a litigator at several leading midsize and regional Boston-area law firms, representing companies and professionals in high-stakes, complex commercial disputes and jury trials.
Throughout his career, Ben has been deeply engaged in the legal, business, and civic communities, serving in leadership and governance roles with more than a dozen global, national, and regional nonprofit organizations. His professional and community leadership has been recognized by the Hispanic National Bar Association, Combined Jewish Philanthropies, the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys, the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts, Get Konnected!, and the American Jewish Committee.
Ben earned his J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law and his M.B.A. from American University’s Kogod School of Business. He received his B.A. from Middlebury College, where he was a school record holder and NCAA Division I and III All-New England decathlete. Ben lives in the Boston area with his wife and their four children.
