Chris is the leader and founding Partner of Latitude’s San Diego office.
A Southern California native, Chris has built deep connections in San Diego’s legal and business communities since 2006, earning a reputation as both a skilled litigator and trusted leader.
Prior to joining Latitude, Chris was Managing Shareholder at Gupta Evans & Ayres, a boutique litigation firm in San Diego. There, he specialized in complex corporate and business disputes, particularly internal ownership conflicts. His clients ranged from startups to established enterprises across industries like cybersecurity, biotech, real estate, telecommunications, maritime, manufacturing, construction, and hospitality.
Throughout his decade-plus career as a trial attorney, Chris helped his clients successfully navigate high-stakes business matters, including equity ownership challenges and takeovers, fiduciary duty claims, trade secret enforcement, asset misappropriation, unfair competition, and corporate restructuring.
Beyond the courtroom, Chris played an instrumental role in the firm’s growth, managing operations, leading hiring and recruiting initiatives, mentoring attorneys, and implementing case management systems. He also served on the Executive Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section, helping develop educational programming and events and foster community collaboration.
His professional excellence has earned him recognition as a San Diego Super Lawyer and Rising Star.
Chris earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served as an editor for the San Diego Journal of Climate & Energy Law and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Society. He graduated from San Diego State University (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics, also spending time studying at the University of Oxford.
Chris lives in Encinitas with his wife, Simona, and their golden retriever, Crosby. He enjoys exploring San Diego’s latest restaurants and its countless hidden gems, golfing, reading, and escaping to the mountains for a weekend of snowboarding or water skiing. An avid sports fan, he never misses a chance to root for his hometown Lakers, Rams and Dodgers. As a comedy and movie enthusiast, he hopes to one day attend Saturday Night Live.
