We are excited to announce that Latitude continues to expand and has opened an office in Atlanta to better serve our clients with operations in the Georgia market. Since 2014 Latitude has provided our clients access to high-end attorneys in numerous substantive practice areas for short- or long-term engagements at up to 60 percent less than law firm market rates. For Latitude’s law firm clients, that rate difference is profit margin and for Latitude’s corporate clients it is cost reduction.
Our experienced attorneys augment corporate in-house capacity during major business events, periods of peak demand, and during hiring freezes, helping maintain tight budgets and reduce work overload. Latitude also helps law firms meet surges in client demand, reduce burnout and minimize fixed costs.
“Latitude’s growth has been driven by the company’s focus on attorney quality, a collaborative environment, and commitment to client success,” said Logan Ide, Georgia Market President, and Co-Owner. “I look forward to bringing the brand and that same approach and energy to the Atlanta market.” Prior to his position at Latitude, Ide was an Atlanta-based general counsel and a private equity firm managing partner.
Founded in Nashville by former Bass, Berry & Sims partner Ross Booher and serial entrepreneur Ken Clarke, Latitude arose from Booher’s observations of the challenges law firm partners and general counsels faced reducing fixed costs and maintaining the right-sized, high-end teams given the unpredictable nature of law practice.
“I knew Latitude could help corporate legal departments and law firms by providing BigLaw associate- to partner-level attorneys on an engagement basis,” said Booher. “I also wanted to create an alternative career track for successful attorneys with sophisticated experience – one that offers flexibility, interesting work, great clients, full benefits and high pay.”
“It is exciting to partner with Logan to bring our high-end legal services to Atlanta’s leading law firms and corporations. Logan’s deep knowledge of the Atlanta legal market and prior experience as a general counsel enables him to understand the needs of Latitude’s clients and attorneys,” said Booher.
“Our attorneys are what distinguish us from other legal services companies,” said Latitude EVP Candice Reed, who previously served as Chief Ethics Officer of Comdata and as an Executive Director of Counsel on Call (now known as “Legility”). “Latitude is incredibly selective – almost all Latitude Attorneys were previously associates or partners at leading corporate law firms and most have also served as in-house counsel. Clients choose Latitude when they don’t want to roll the dice on attorney quality. And experienced attorneys and paralegals want to work with us because we allow them to cultivate a sophisticated law practice with flexibility and boundaries that support their priorities in and outside the office,” explained Reed.
“Latitude has provided me consistently high-quality attorneys with practice-specific experience and the ability to parachute in and provide immediate, cost-effective assistance,” said Mark Vane, Chief Legal Officer with Geodis Americas.
Latitude offers attorneys and paralegals in dozens of practice areas including Corporate & Securities, Employment & Complex Litigation, ERISA, Healthcare, Contract Negotiation & Drafting, Commercial Real Estate & Finance, Technology, IP, and Compliance.
Our vision is to be the leading high-end legal services company, providing law firm-level attorneys and paralegals to corporate legal departments and law firms for engagement and permanent roles.
