Teresa serves as Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement and works out of Latitude’s San Francisco office.

At Latitude, Teresa helps experienced attorneys, paralegals, legal operations professionals, and compliance officers transition into often life-changing engagements and permanent positions.

Before joining Latitude, Teresa was a senior associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster LLP. In that position, she focused on the litigation of intellectual property and complex commercial disputes while maintaining an active pro bono practice. Teresa has litigated patent and trade secret cases involving a range of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and biologic drug products, communications, and other high-technology industries. She has also represented life sciences and technology companies in complex commercial matters and licensing disputes.

Teresa began her career as an attorney in Toronto, Canada, where she provided life sciences patent services and counseling, including domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution. She also has experience with trademark prosecution and has advised clients on regulatory compliance.

Teresa earned her J.D. at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law; her M.S. in molecular genetics from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine where she focused her research on angiogenesis regulation during mammalian development; and her B.S. in biochemistry and biotechnology from the University of Waterloo, Faculty of Science. She currently lives in San Mateo, California with her husband and two sons.
