Civil Litigation Defense Attorney (REMOTE)

Latitude is seeking civil litigation defense attorneys, preferably with experience working on auto accident cases, for a multi-month engagement position with an AmLaw 100 firm. Interested candidates must have 3+ years of experience as an associate or counsel at a large firm or a sophisticated boutique. The successful candidate will be expected to assist on matters at all stages of litigation.

Responsibilities of the Civil Litigation Defense Attorney (Remote):

Efficiently and competently research complicated legal issues
Handle fact development
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, etc.
Handle all aspects of discovery, including taking depositions
Communicate clearly both orally and in writing

Requirements for the Civil Litigation Defense Attorney (Remote):

At least 3 years of litigation experience at a large firm or a sophisticated boutique
Licensed to practice law and in good standing
J.D. from an accredited, preferably first-tier, law school
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven law firm setting
Outstanding references

We place legal professionals in permanent, temporary, and flexible roles. Latitude Engaged Professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and, if located in the United States, are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours or more per week, including complimentary Group Life, Long term disability, AD&D, and a qualified 401k plan (subject to a qualifying period). A CLE and Professional Expense stipend is also available to benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys.
