Data Privacy / Security Interim Counsel (remote)

Are you an attorney with significant experience in data privacy and security? Would you be excited to work as a Latitude Attorney on a flexible, long-term remote engagement providing data privacy/security leadership to a significant corporate legal department? If so, then this could be the role for you. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of global privacy and data security laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as well as state data breach notification laws and data security standards. Prior experience working at an Am Law 200 corporate law firm and/or a large tech company legal department is strongly preferred. CIPP/E and CIPP/US certifications are a plus.

Minimum Requirements for the Data Privacy/Data Protection Attorney:

  • 3+ years as a data privacy attorney with an Am Law 200 law firm and/or a large corporate legal department
  • Strong academic credentials from a top accredited law school
  • Outstanding references
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence
