In House Sanctions Attorney (Remote)

Do you prefer in house roles over law firm work? If so, Latitude has an exciting opportunity to work with a large financial services company supporting its legal department assisting with sanctions issues.

Minimum Qualifications and Responsibilities of the Sanctions Attorney:

  • 8+ years of legal experience with sanctions issues, either in house, at an AmLaw 100 law firm or well-respected boutique firm
  • Experience providing legal advice relating to international sanctions (e.g. UK, EU, U.S. UN, and other local and autonomous programmes) spanning across all of a financial service entity’s operations and offices.
  • Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
    • Assist with the monitoring of applicable sanctions laws and regulations (including through industry fora).
    • Deliver compliance with laws and regulations by authoring comprehensive and clear Sanctions Policy and Standards.
    • Assist with providing technical advice on business and transactional matters.
    • Assist with reinforcing key themes and “best practices” through the Sanctions Learning Curriculum.
  • License to practice law in any state
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Outstanding references

  • Type of role: Long term engagement - 6 months with potential to extend
  • Schedule: Full time
  • Location: Remote
  • Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience, including full benefits for 20 hours/week or more
