Are you an experienced data privacy/security attorney looking for a rewarding remote opportunity? Would you be excited to work as a Latitude Attorney on a flexible engagement providing data privacy/security leadership to a significant corporate legal department? If so, look no further! Latitude is seeking exceptional attorneys for a long-term engagement position with the legal department of a global industrial corporation. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of global privacy and data security laws, as well as state data breach notification laws and data security standards. The successful candidate will support CPRA readiness, handle general privacy matters, and assist with compliance training, while working with IT, marketing and outside counsel. Prior experience working at a large corporate law firm and/or company legal department is preferred.

Requirements for the Data Privacy & Security Attorney:

  • 4+ years of sophisticated data privacy and security experience
  • Experience with CPRA readiness, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • Experience assessing data privacy compliance and handling training and project management
  • Experience drafting/negotiating general commercial contracts & vendor agreements is a plus
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Outstanding references
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence
  • CIPP/E and CIPP/US certifications are a plus
