Latitude is seeking a Cybersecurity/Data Privacy Attorney to join the first-party cyber incident response team of a dynamic mid-sized firm to assist clients in the diverse and quickly evolving field of data privacy and information security liability. This is an exciting opportunity to work with company management, Boards of Directors, outside vendors and government agencies to protect the interests of the firm’s clients in today’s technology-based business environment. Interested candidates should have 2-3 years of cybersecurity/data privacy experience.  Candidates with commercial litigation experience who are interested in learning cyber law will also be considered. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills are a must. Candidates can be licensed to practice law and in good standing in any state.

Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity/Data Privacy Attorney:
  • Advise clients on matters of compliance and help them navigate through a cybersecurity breach
  • Defend clients in legal actions involving breaches or other non-compliance issues
  • Collaborate with privacy and cybersecurity experts to develop a coordinated, interdisciplinary approach to each client’s unique situations
  • Develop and implement corporate governance, cybersecurity practices, incident analysis protocols and response programs for the firm’s clients
Requirements for the Cybersecurity/Data Privacy Attorney:
  • 2-3 years of cybersecurity/data privacy experience at a law firm; would consider someone with commercial litigation experience who wants to become part of cyber response team
  • Licensed to practice in any U.S. state
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 or more. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also provided.

We place legal professionals in permanent, temporary, and flexible roles.
