As a key player on the national marketing team at Latitude, the marketing events manager brings solid events experience and expertise to the table. This dynamic individual is responsible for planning and executing live and virtual events that help to raise Latitude's national brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.

Based in the Middle Tennessee area, the marketing events manager works closely with corporate and market-level staff to develop comprehensive event briefs and manage projects to meet critical deadlines. Skilled in creating omnichannel marketing campaigns that support events, the marketing events manager tracks and reports related key performance indicators, including return on investment. 

Responsibilities of the Marketing Events Manager
  • Support each market leader in assessing event opportunities, making recommendations, and planning and executing local events that drive awareness.
  • Work closely with event planning representatives from each conference to collect all critical information regarding the copy, design, and other items needed as well as all deadlines.
  • Research and write detailed event briefs for every national and local sales conference and virtual CLE webinar, review and adjust during event planning meetings with attendees to ensure the team is working from the same plan.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including making reservations, arranging for on-site booth items, shipping, and providing attendees with all necessary instructions for booth setup, tear down, and outbound shipping.
  • Work with Latitude’s website agency to post events-related updates to latitudelegal.com.
  • Work with our content marketing manager to share events news and information via email marketing and Latitude’s social media channels.
  • Work with internal marketing staff and external designers, consultants, and agencies to create event-related content, including company overview text, banner ads, trade show floor displays, tabletop displays, etc.
  • Manage trade show inventory and shipping, facilitating repairs or replacement of equipment as needed.
  • Stay current with event industry best practices and incorporate them into Latitude’s event strategy.
  • Set up and manage webinar events in Zoom; coordinate all marketing, reminder, and post-event email communications.
  • Manage all relevant trade show contact data in HubSpot, including coordinating with market leaders to track the outcomes of business opportunities.
  • Create and manage annual events calendar, and send calendar invitations to attending staff.
  • Complete a retrospective of each event, documenting what went well and what improvements can be made for the next event.
  • Create and maintain a set of reports that provide insight into individual event performance.
  • Participate in annual events strategy and budget planning exercise.
  • Assist corporate staff with annual company retreat as needed.
  • Manage Latitude’s branded promotional items and gift program, including working with the marketing committee, managing the promotional items vendor, and the company store.

Qualifications of the Marketing Events Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as communications or marketing is preferred.
  • Five or more years experience in a corporate marketing function, B2B experience required, professional services experience preferred.
  • Track record of strong customer service delivery with experience consulting and influencing across the organization.
  • Track record of successful event strategy, planning, marketing, and execution
  • Highly developed project management skillset, with attention to detail and ability to reprioritize in a fast-paced, growing organization - project management certification a plus
  • Experience with marketing technology and webinar platforms, such as HubSpot and Zoom

  • Type of role: Permanent
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Location: Remote, but must be based within Middle Tennessee. Will be required to attend occasional in-person meetings and visit promotional items vendor facility as needed.
