Florida Litigation Attorney - Personal Injury / Insurance Defense (In-House)

Latitude is seeking a Florida litigation attorney with 12+ years of personal injury and/or insurance defense trial experience for an exciting long-term contract (or contract-to-permanent) engagement with a Fortune 500 company.  Eligible candidates must be capable of serving as lead or co-lead counsel at trial and be highly skilled at all phases of litigation, including motion practice, written discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial strategy.  Prior experience working in-house as litigation counsel for a large legal department, or as a litigation attorney at a large firm or sophisticated litigation boutique in Florida is preferred. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Florida and be able to appear in court throughout Central Florida and the Panhandle.  This is an immediate need and has the potential to convert into a permanent position.

Requirements for the Florida Litigation Attorney – Personal Injury / Insurance Defense (In-House):
  • 12+ years of personal injury and/or insurance defense trial experience
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing
  • Ability to travel to hearings, mediations, and trials throughout Central Florida and the Panhandle
  • Outstanding references

  • Type of Role:  Long-term contract engagement with the potential for a conversion to permanent
  • Schedule:  Part-time, full-time, or anywhere in between
  • Location:  Central or Central-West Florida (with work-from-home flexibility)

We place legal professionals in permanent, temporary, and flexible roles. Latitude Engaged Professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and, if located in the United States, are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours or more per week, including complimentary Group Life, Long term disability, AD&D, and a qualified 401k plan (subject to a qualifying period).
