Latitude is seeking an experienced sanctions and export control attorney with 8+ years of legal experience to assist the export control and trade sanctions group at a large international law firm. Candidates should have significant sanctions experience, as well as experience with export controls, import and other national security and foreign policy trade related regulations. Experience in identifying and addressing strategic, compliance and enforcement risks under US trade laws and regulations is also required.
Minimum Qualifications of the Sanctions and Export Controls Attorney:
  • 8+ years of legal experience in international trade issues, either in house, at an AmLaw 100 law firm or well-respected boutique firm
  • Sanctions experience, as well as experience with export controls, import and other national security and foreign policy trade related regulations
  • Experience in identifying and addressing strategic, compliance and enforcement risks under US trade laws and regulations is also required - experience with ITAR, OFAC and EAR
  • Ability to handle and experience working in a high-volume practice area managing multiple cases and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capability and experience to work independently and with a team
  • License to practice law in state of residence

  • Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience, including full benefits for 20 hours/week or more

Compensation
The annualized compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 or more.  Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location.  In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan.  Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance.  Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
