NY Junior Civil Litigation Attorney (Remote)

If you are a junior associate looking for a firm where you can put down roots and build your practice, then look no further! Latitude is seeking a Junior Civil Litigation Attorney for a permanent position with a growing regional defense firm. Interested lawyers should have at least 1-5 years of civil litigation experience in general liability matters, preferably handling premises liability, trucking and commercial automobile claims. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills are a must. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in New York. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities of the NY Junior Litigation Attorney:
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
  • Handle all aspects of discovery
  • Efficiently and competently research legal issues
  • Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to colleagues and clients
Requirements for the NY Junior Litigation Attorney:
  • 1-5 years of civil litigation experience in general liability matters
  • Licensed to practice and in good standing in New York
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
  • Outstanding references
Position Details of the NY Junior Litigation Attorney:

  • Location: Fully remote
Compensation
Pay: The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 or more.  This position is also eligible for bonuses.  Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location. 
Benefits: In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is also provided, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) and generous leave policies.

We place legal professionals in permanent, temporary, and flexible roles.
