Part-Time In-House Patent Agent

Latitude is seeking a highly skilled Patent Agent to work part-time, in-house for our Atlanta-based client. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel and support in patent matters, helping to manage patent portfolio and applications and prosecution in line with industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent law and experience with intellectual property protection. Prior experience as a Patent Agent at a law firm or in-house with a medium to large legal department is preferred. This role is expected to be three days a week with two days on-site and one remote.

Minimum Qualifications of the Part-Time, In-House Patent Agent:

  • 6+ years of experience in patent law, including patent prosecution and portfolio management
  • Significant experience reviewing and advising on patent matters, including patent applications, prosecution strategies, and patent infringement issues
  • Prior experience at a corporate or IP boutique law firm or in-house with a major company is strongly preferred
  • Excellent academic credentials, mechanical engineering degree preferred
  • Licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Outstanding references
