You can work from home or on a hybrid basis in the Nashville-based law firm’s office. You can work reduced or full-time hours. This is a unique opportunity to pick the schedule and structure that works best for you and still have the chance to work with sophisticated business clients on a variety of transactional matters.
In this Corporate Attorney position, you will provide legal counsel to a variety of business clients, focusing on corporate transactions, including Business Formation and Operating Agreements, M&A, Membership Interest and Asset Purchases and Sales, Private Placement Memoranda, Capital Raises, Contracts (i.e. NDAs and confidentiality agreements, construction agreements, management agreements, franchise and license agreements, etc.) and other general business law matters. This is a contract engagement (as a benefits-eligible Latitude W2 employee), but has the potential for either a long-term engagement or converting to a direct hire.
Basic Requirements for the Corporate Attorney:
4+ years of experience practicing corporate law, ideally in the corporate practice group of a full-service or boutique law firm (AmLaw 200 experience highly preferred)
Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in TN and residing in TN
Outstanding professional references

Type of role: Engagement
Schedule: Part-time or Full-time
Location: Hybrid (within Tennessee)
Compensation: Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
