Latitude is looking for a healthcare privacy and regulatory attorney with 7+ years of experience, including with licensing requirements, privacy, and other federal and multi-state regulations related to substance use disorders/mental health care providers. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer to develop strong policies and procedures to support the fast-growing company, providing guidance to the executive team and driving the implementation of the policies. Experience drafting and negotiating contracts and transactional matters specific to SUDs is a plus. This is a fully remote engagement opportunity.
Minimum Requirements for the Privacy/Regulatory Healthcare Attorney:
7+ years’ experience handling privacy and regulatory matters on a multi-state basis in the healthcare industry, with some experience in-house (preferably with a SUD and/or mental health care provider)
Strong knowledge of the licensing requirements, laws, regulations, and industry protocols specifically related to SUD and mental health care providers
Experience analyzing complex privacy regulations, providing legal counsel to legal and compliance teams, and developing actionable business policies and action items for implementation
Adept at communicating complicated legal issues and requirements, utilizing business judgment to effectively develop and implement with the business leaders the policies and protocols for compliance
Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in state of residence and in good standing

Duration: 3 to 6 months, and potentially longer
Location: Remote – work from home
Compensation: The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $140,000 to $200,000 or more. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location. In addition to pay, all Latitude Engaged Professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude Engaged Professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude Engaged Professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
