Austin Estate Planning and Probate Associate

If you are a transactional associate looking for a non-traditional environment with a highly successful law firm, this opening is for you. Latitude is seeking an associate attorney with experience and/or interest in estate planning and probate for an exciting opportunity with an Austin boutique firm that is having fun practicing law, prioritizing client needs and doing so in a non-traditional and more informal environment. This firm offers mentorship and unique benefits. Cases at this firm also include fiduciary litigation, so interest in this area is also welcome.

Responsibilities of the Transactional Associate:

Working with clients on estate planning and probate of all estate sizes
Drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, limited liability companies, promissory notes, etc.
Working with clients’ financial advisors
Guiding clients through the probate process
Assist with asset distribution and related tax issues

Requirements of the Transactional Associate:

1-3+ years of probate and estate planning in Texas
Licensed in Texas
Excellent academic credentials
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven law firm setting
Outstanding references

Position Details for the Transactional Associate:

Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience, full benefits

Compensation
Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance.

We place legal professionals in permanent, temporary, and flexible roles. Latitude Engaged Professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and, if located in the United States, are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours or more per week, including complimentary Group Life, Long term disability, AD&D, and a qualified 401k plan (subject to a qualifying period). A CLE and Professional Expense stipend is also available to benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys. Latitude provides complementary professional liability insurance coverage to all Latitude Engaged Professionals for their Latitude engagements.
