Remote Corporate Attorney – Private Equity / M&A (Contract Engagement)

Latitude is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to assist one of its AmLaw 50 law firm clients with an internal project involving the review of complex private equity purchase agreements. This is a flexible, multi-month contract engagement and candidates may work remotely from any location in the United States. Candidates must have extensive experience representing private equity funds in M&A transactions, including experience advising buyers, sellers, founders, and joint venture partners in negotiating, documenting, and consummating sophisticated transactions. Prior experience working in the corporate practice group of a large law firm or a sophisticated boutique firm is required. This is an immediate need. Specific experience working on healthcare M&A deals is a plus.

Requirements for the Corporate Attorney – Private Equity / M&A (Contract Engagement):

  • 5-10+ years of corporate experience representing private equity clients in M&A transactions
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed and in good standing in state of residence
  • Prior experience working in the corporate practice group of a large law firm or sophisticated boutique firm
  • Outstanding references

  • Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience

Compensation: 

Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $175,000 to $200,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

BenefitsIn addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
