Litigation Attorney - Boutique Firm (Miami, Contract Engagement)

Latitude is seeking a commercial litigation attorney for a 2-3 month, full-time contract engagement with a highly regarded boutique firm in Miami. This is a great opportunity to work on-site in an energetic and collegial environment, while also working on complex litigation matters. Interested candidates must have 5+ years of commercial litigation experience as an associate at a large firm or a sophisticated boutique. The successful candidate must enjoy working as part of a team and will be expected to assist on matters at all stages of litigation, up to trial work.

Responsibilities of the Litigation Attorney – Boutique Firm (Miami, Contract Engagement)

Efficiently and competently research complicated legal issues
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, etc.
Handle all aspects of discovery, including taking depositions
Communicate clearly both orally and in writing

Requirements for the Litigation Attorney – Boutique Firm (Miami, Contract Engagement)

At least 5 years of litigation experience at a large firm or a sophisticated boutique
J.D. from an accredited law school
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven law firm setting
Licensed and in good standing in State of Florida
Outstanding references

We place legal professionals in permanent, temporary, and flexible roles. Latitude Engaged Professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and, if located in the United States, are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours or more per week, including complimentary Group Life, Long term disability, AD&D, and a qualified 401k plan (subject to a qualifying period). A CLE and Professional Expense stipend is also available to benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys. Latitude provides complementary professional liability insurance coverage to all Latitude Engaged Professionals for their Latitude engagements.
