Are you an experienced environmental attorney looking for a new, flexible opportunity? Latitude has a large materials client looking for an environmental attorney, with 5+ years’ experience, with expeirence handling RCRA Corrective Actions, CERCLA remediations, and cleanup actions authorized under state-equivalent statutes. This person will be working closely with site teams to monitor clean-up, site access, compliance, etc. This is a 100% remote opportunity and an immediate need.

Requirements for the Environmental Attorney

5+ years environmental law experience
Working knowledge of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liabiilty Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and state equivalents
Prior experience working with site diligence matters preferred
Excellent academic credentials
Licensed to practice law in state of residence
Prior experience as an associate or counsel in the environmental practice group of a highly respected full service law firm, boutique environmental law firm or corporate legal department highly preferred
Outstanding references

Position Details of the Environmental Attorney

Type of role: Engagement
Schedule: 20-30 hours per week
Location: Remote
Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
