Experienced California Litigation Attorney – (Fully Remote or On-Site Contract Position)

Latitude is seeking an experienced California litigation attorney to support a team at an AmLaw 100 firm with active matters in California state and federal courts. This position will offer the opportunity to handle a wide range of litigation-related tasks in high-level, sophisticated disputes.

Basic Requirements for the California Litigation Attorney (Remote or On-Site Contract Position):

5+ years of experience in California litigation
Licensed to practice in California
Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Experience in California procedure—including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, subpoenas, deadlines, and court preferences
Experience in financial services and life settlement litigation beneficial, but not required
Comfortable working independently to complete tasks
Clear and proactive communicator
Excellent academic and professional credentials
Outstanding professional references

Position Details of the California Litigation Attorney (Remote or On-Site Contract Position):

Type of role: Contract
Schedule: 20+ hours per week
Location: Remote (anywhere in United States, but must have active California license); could work on-site as needed if located in a market where the firm has an office

Compensation
Annualized compensation for this role (calculated based on hourly rates x full-time hours) ranges from $180,000 to $220,000 or more. Pay is based on numerous factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for at least 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance.
