Are you an experienced labor & employment law attorney who has practiced at a sophisticated corporate law firm or in-house? Basic Requirements for the Labor & Employment Attorney:
  • 3+ years of experience as an employment attorney
  • Broad experience and knowledge across a wide range of employment areas including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, wage and hour laws, employment agreements, employment policies, procedures and handbooks, and related areas
  • Traditional labor experience is also a plus
  • Prior experience practicing in the corporate practice group of a large full service law firm or well-respected boutique is highly preferred
  • Prior in-house experience is highly preferred for many opportunities
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as the flexibility and emotional intelligence needed to successfully “parachute in” to meet a client’s needs
  • Licensed to practice law
  • Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Outstanding professional references

Position Details of the Labor & Employment Attorney:  
  • Type of role: Contract engagement or engagement-to-hire
  • Schedule: Flexible (full-time, part-time or anywhere in between)
  • Location: St. Louis Metropolitan Area (remote, hybrid, or on-site)

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
