Take your knowledge and experience to the next level as part of the dynamic corporate legal team of a leader in the healthcare industry.  Latitude is seeking a paralegal with experience handling corporate, regulatory, compliance and payer-side matters.  You will be part of a collaborative team handling a wide variety of complex and interesting matters, including corporate and regulatory legal issues, contract drafting and contract management, subpoena responses, developing and implementing legal department processes and procedures, handling subrogation and Third Party Administration.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task at a high level, work collaboratively, and be confident handling projects independently.  Prior experience working in a corporate legal or compliance department for a healthcare provider, an AmLaw 200 firm and/or healthcare boutique law firm is highly preferred.
Basic Requirements for the Healthcare Paralegal (In-House):
  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal
  • Experience supporting a corporate legal department and/or compliance team
  • Experience drafting and managing contracts
  • Experience managing subpoena policies and procedures
  • Experience interacting with Third Party Administrators
  • Experience working with HIPAA and ERISA compliance issues
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar contracting software, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, skilled at project management, and high level of professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate are strongly preferred
  • Outstanding professional references required

  • Type of role: Contract engagement or engagement-to-hire
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Location: In-office (Minneapolis suburb)
  • Timing: Need is immediate
Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available.
