Non-Profit Managing Counsel

Latitude is working with a non-profit organization to place a managing counsel for its Cookeville, Tennessee office.

The attorney in this role will lead the office, having managerial and legal oversight responsibility for several attorneys and support staff, oversee day-to-day operations and process improvements, and manage an active case load. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep commitment to equal access to the justice system and a passion for improving the lives of individuals in the community.

The managing counsel should have a background in civil litigation as well as experience in a leadership/management role. Candidates must reside (or be willing to relocate) within a reasonable commuting distance of the organization’s Cookeville office.

Requirements for the Managing Counsel:

A minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, including at least 4 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role
Knowledgeable on civil litigation matters
Demonstrated commitment to process and system improvements
Impeccable leadership, professional judgment, organizational, and communication skills
Licensed to practice law
Outstanding professional references

Compensation:

Pay: The salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $110,000 or more.

Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials.

Benefits: In addition to pay, relocation and loan forgiveness benefits are available. Full medical, life, dental, vision, and disability insurance, as well as professional fees/development, retirement savings and generous PTO benefits are available.
