Latitude is working with a law firm that serves as outside general counsel for start-up companies to find a commercial contracts attorney with manufacturing experience to assist one of its clients, a clean energy technology company, on a part-time, engagement basis. The role will include drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a range of commercial agreements, including procurement, supply chain, services, JDAs, NDAs, etc. and providing counsel to supply chain and engineering teams on a range of commercial legal issues to help the company with the design, engineering, and manufacture of its flagship clean energy products. The best candidate will have strong experience with the manufacturing of physical goods, as opposed to being a software or SaaS attorney. This is a fully remote/WFH position.

Requirements for the Senior Manufacturing and Commercial Contracts Attorney:

5+ years of experience handling commercial contracts in the manufacturing industry required
Prior experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing and/or editing a wide range of commercial contract, including procurement, supply chain, services, JDAs, NDAs
Prior experience working in the manufacturing industry
Prior experience at an Am Law 200 corporate law firm or a corporate legal department is strongly preferred
Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school
Outstanding references
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence

Compensation:

Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $180,000 to $250,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
