Latitude is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join a prestigious boutique law firm in Boston, MA on a part-time basis. Interested candidates should have at least 7-10 years of civil defense litigation experience in business litigation and/or commercial real estate, with a track record of successfully handling complex cases. This role requires extensive experience in litigation, a deep understanding of legal principles, and the ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Massachusetts. The is a remote position but candidates must live near Boston, MA in order to be able to attend court appearances and depositions as needed.
Responsibilities of the MA-Barred Senior Litigation Attorney:
Leading and managing high-stakes litigation cases across various practice areas
Developing and implementing case strategies that align with client goals
Overseeing discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
Representing clients in court, including trials, hearings, and appeals
Negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
Mentoring and supervising junior attorneys and legal staff
Providing guidance on legal strategies, case management, and professional development
Assist in developing and maintaining a client base through networking, presentations and other business development activities
Requirements for the MA-Barred Senior Litigation Attorney:
7-10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably at a large law firm
Business litigation and/or commercial real estate experience preferred
Licensed to practice and in good standing in Massachusetts
J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

Compensation
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $170,000-$200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, and market supply/demand.
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401K plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
