Junior Litigation Attorney (Full Time)

Latitude is seeking a junior litigation attorney with 3 to 4 years of experience to join a highly regarded Midwest law firm that offers the best of both worlds – a collaborative, supportive mid-size office environment with the advantages and resources of a global law firm. Unlike more structured litigation departments, you’ll be involved in all aspects of trials and have a clear path to becoming a partner after 6 years. Interested candidates should have experience as a litigation associate at a large firm or a sophisticated boutique and be ready to spread their wings.

Basic Requirements for the Junior Litigation Attorney:

3 - 4 years of general litigation experience at a large firm or sophisticated boutique firm
Superior written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
Appreciation for teamwork and collaboration, valuing empathy and EQ
Analytical and strategic skills commensurate with a 3 to 4 year litigation associate
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven law firm setting
Proficiency in drafting pleadings and discovery, taking and defending depositions and participating in mediations
Experience conducting legal research, determining applicable laws, identifying legal issues, and making strategic recommendations
Detail-oriented and familiar with relevant legal technology is a plus
Experience with commercial real estate matters is a plus
Skilled at working both independently and as a contributing team member
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to state bar where licensed to practice and in good standing

Compensation:
Pay: The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $140,000+. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.

Benefits: In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is also provided, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) and generous leave policies.
