Even if you don’t live in the Norfolk, VA area, if you have relevant experience, a business-minded approach to practicing in-house, and a willingness to work onsite 40 hours/week, Latitude will provide a travel and housing stipend for any out-of-area attorney selected to work on this engagement. Latitude is considering candidates who are interested in a long-term engagement with the potential to transition to a direct/permanent hire with the Company within 12 months OR candidates who would prefer to work on a contract basis only (minimum 3-month term, but could be structured for up to 9 months if desired). Basic Requirements for the Assistant General Counsel – Procurement & Government Contracts
10+ years as a practicing attorney with extensive procurement and government contracting experience
Prior experience at an Am Law 200 firm, comparable boutique, or in-house with a large government contractor
Licensed to practice law and in good standing; must be eligible to waive into State Bar of VA as in-house counsel

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $250,000 to $325,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
