In-House Biopharma IP Attorney (Engagement or Permanent)

Latitude is seeking an experienced in-house IP Attorney to join a leading biopharmaceutical company on a permanent or engagement basis. The company is specifically focused on research and development in gene therapy treatments. Interested candidates should have at least 10+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patents in the biologics and gene therapy space. The successful candidate will also have experience in various IP transactions, including acquisitions and licensing deals. The company is looking for a permanent employee but will entertain a part-time engagement candidate in the interim. The engagement position is fully remote. The permanent position is preferred to be hybrid.

Requirements for the In-House Biopharma IP Attorney:
  • 10+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patents in the biologics and gene therapy space
  • Experience in various IP transactions, including acquisitions and licensing deals
  • Licensed to practice and in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
  • Admitted to practice before the USPTO
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

  • Type of Role: Permanent or Engagement
  • Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (20 hrs/week)
  • Location: Remote or Hybrid (near Boston, MA)

Compensation
  • Pay: The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
  • Benefits: In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is also provided, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) and generous leave policies.
