Construction Litigation Attorney (Counsel – Permanent in Florida)
Latitude is recruiting experienced construction litigators in Florida for a full-time counsel position at one of its AmLaw 100 law firm clients. The successful candidates must be Florida licensed and have at least 2+ years of complex construction litigation experience. The successful candidate will be expected to support the construction practice group and will be responsible for construction litigation matters, including litigating insurance claims and construction defect disputes. Extensive litigation and arbitration experience is essential including handling hearings, taking and defending depositions, and drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive briefs. This is a full-time, non-partner track position in one of the firm’s Florida offices, preferably Tampa, but open to considering qualified candidates in Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, and Tallahassee.
Requirements for the Construction Litigation Attorney:
2+ years of construction litigation experience
Prior experience at a top law firm highly preferred
Experience conducting discovery, drafting motions, arguing motions in court, conducting depositions and mediations/arbitrations
Prior experience litigating insurance claims, construction and design defect claims, and related matters is strongly preferred
Licensed and in good standing in Florida
J.D. from an accredited law school
Self-motivated and strong communication, research and writing skills
Outstanding references

Compensation: Pay: The salary range for this position is from $150,000 to $185,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
