Latitude has multiple opportunities for an experienced Litigation Attorney to assist our clients on a contract engagement with a flexible term duration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Litigation Matters: Handle a diverse range of litigation cases, including contract disputes, commercial litigation, real estate matters, employment matters, and other legal challenges.
  • Trial Preparation & Representation: Manage all aspects of litigation, from initial case development to trial, including preparing motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
  • Client Communication & Strategy: Provide strategic legal guidance to clients, represent them in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Document Drafting & Analysis: Draft legal documents, engage in discovery, and conduct thorough legal research.
  • Problem-Solving: Develop and implement effective strategies for resolving disputes.
Requirements for Litigation Attorney
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in litigation (specific area of focus is flexible).
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Licensing: Active State law license in good standing (States of Washington and California preferred, but open to other jurisdictions).
  • Skills:
    • Strong drafting and legal research abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to think analytically and solve complex legal problems.
  • References: Strong professional references to support your litigation experience.

  • Schedule: Part-Time to Full-Time (project driven)

Compensation:
  • Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $200,000 to $265,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
  • Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
