Latitude has a unique opportunity to leverage your experience as a commercial contracts attorney and a legal operations professional. We’re seeking that rare breed of attorney who combines legal and operational management expertise to work with the dynamic in-house legal department of a global life sciences company. After conducting an initial assessment of their current contract management system, you will collaborate with the General Counsel to develop and elevate the system and will lead the legal ops team of attorneys and professionals. Qualified candidates must have a solid commercial contracts background plus significant experience in legal operations, including developing and managing processes, templates, forms, playbooks, and contract management. This is a fully remote engagement opportunity, with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
Requirements for the Legal Operations and Commercial Contracts Counsel (In-House, Remote):
5+ years of experience as an attorney with a focus on drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts (experience in life sciences a plus but not required)
Significant experience working in a legal operations management role, ideally as the head of legal operations for a corporate legal department of a global company
Experience directly managing and implementing contract management software and legal technology resources and tools (experience with Pramata preferred but not required)
Deep understanding of available contract management technologies and skilled in using key management software, including entity management, billing, matter management, SharePoint, among others
Experience directly managing a team of attorneys and legal operations professionals

Position Details for the Legal Operations and Commercial Contracts Counsel (In-House, Remote):
Type of Role: Contract Engagement (6 to 12 months) with potential to convert to a permanent position
Schedule: Full-time

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $185,000 to $215,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
