Legal Transformation Specialist (JD Preferred)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Legal Transformation Manager to join our dynamic legal team and assist with client work. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of legal services and portfolios of legal services, ensuring completion within scope, on time, and within budget.  This role will oversee various legal projects, involving multiple different attorneys, vendors, and stakeholders.  The ideal candidate will have a strong communication skills, and some background in the legal industry, as an attorney or otherwise.  
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate post-project evaluations to measure project success and areas for improvement, as needed.
  • Track project progress and ensure timely and accurate completion and reporting.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and challenges, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Actively manage client, internal, and vendor teams to ensure proper communication and workflows are completed. 
  • Ensure communication Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.
  • Contract review and management, some basic legal research as needed to assist in meeting project goals. 
  • Manage outside vendors including vendor contract procurement, and vendor relations. 
  • Work with internal and external clients to develop project scope and budget, and for some projects, develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation between internal resources and outside vendor resources. 
 

Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited US institution. A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or JD is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Experience:
  • Experience performing legal research, reviewing contracts, and managing outside vendors.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the legal industry or in project management.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with legal software and document management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, legal processes, and industry practices is desirable.
 
 Compensation:
  • Pay:  The annualized pay for this position ranges from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on seniority.  Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials. 
  • Benefits: All Latitude legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available.
