Latitude is looking for a healthcare regulatory compliance attorney with 5+ years of experience for an in-house contract position with a California based medical device company. The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience with healthcare fraud and abuse laws including the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act. The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience handling issues related to the laws and regulations associated with speaker programs, promotional activities, and healthcare reimbursement matters.This is a fully remote engagement opportunity. Candidates living in the Pacific Time Zone are strongly preferred. 

Minimum Requirements for the In-House Healthcare Regulatory Compliance Attorney (Contract and Remote):
  • 5+ years’ experience handling privacy and regulatory matters on a multi-state basis in the healthcare industry
  • Strong knowledge of the licensing requirements, laws, regulations, and industry protocols specifically related to healthcare fraud and abuse laws including the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act
  • Experience handling issues related to the laws and regulations associated with speaker programs, promotional activities, and healthcare reimbursement matters
  • Significant experience communicating complicated legal issues and requirements, utilizing business judgment to effectively develop and implement with the business leaders the policies and protocols for compliance
  • Experience in-house handling healthcare regulatory compliance matters
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Outstanding references
  • Licensed to practice law in state of residence and in good standing
Position Details for the In-House Healthcare Regulatory Compliance Attorney (Contract and Remote):
  • Type of role: Engagement
  • Schedule: Part-Time to Full-Time
  • Duration: Approximately 3 months and potentially longer
  • Location: Remote (Pacific Time Zone preferred)
Compensation:
The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $175,000 to $220,000 or more. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location. In addition to pay, all Latitude Engaged Professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude Engaged Professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude Engaged Professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
