Latitude is seeking an experienced attorney to assist one of its global law firm clients and play a lead role in counseling their clients regarding the design, implementation and operation of cash and equity based incentive arrangements and other employee benefit plans.
Interested candidates must have law firm experience counseling clients on all aspects of equity compensation and other employee benefits, including the following:
Advising Clients: Act as key contact for share plan, employee benefits and other equity compensation issues, including remuneration and corporate governance.
Drafting Documentation: Draft, review, and amend legal and commercial aspects of employee benefits and equity compensation documentation.
Corporate Transactions: Take responsibility for share plan, employee benefits and other equity compensation aspects of corporate transactions of all kinds.
Requirements for the Employee Benefits/Equity Compensation Attorney (Part-Time, Remote):
10+ years of experience in a transactional practice working on employee benefits/ equity compensation matters
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with business teams
J.D. from accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in state of residence, New York or DC license preferred (but not mandatory)
Prior experience working at a large law firm or a top-tier boutique firm

Position Details of the Employee Benefits / Equity Compensation Attorney (Part-Time, Remote):

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position on a full time basis ranges from $200,000 to $250,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
