In-House Litigation Paralegal (Hybrid / Full-Time Engagement)
Are you a seasoned litigation paralegal ready for something different? We're partnering with an in-house legal team in New York City looking for skilled litigation paralegals to join them on a long-term (potentially 1 year or more), full-time (40 hour/week) engagement. This is not your typical contract role. Successful candidates will have experience preparing and drafting pleadings and discovery responses, the ability to handle extensive document production, and deep experience e-filing documents on PACER and NYSEF. A strong background in premises liability and insurance defense litigation is a plus.

Basic Requirements for the Litigation Paralegal:
• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in New York
• Strong background in drafting discovery responses, motions and other pleadings.
• Ability to prepare, send, track, and follow up on legal authorizations for the release of records or other information
• Extensive experience electronically filing documents and knowledge of court deadlines and procedures.
• New York insurance defense litigation experience highly desired.
• Prior experience initiating / maintaining litigation holds
• Outstanding professional references
Position Details of the Litigation Paralegal:
• Type of role: Contract / Temporary
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Location: Hybrid, New York City, following a 1-month onsite training period
Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate, which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
