Latitude is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with deep litigation and eDiscovery experience to support the growing legal department of a forward-thinking, technology-enabled law firm, during the impending leave of absence of a vital team member. This is a unique contract opportunity, designed with flexibility, impact, and long-term expansion in mind.
The firm is seeking an attorney who can quickly learn internal systems and processes, begin transitioning into key matters alongside senior leadership, and provide essential support during and potentially beyond the coverage period. A successful engagement could lead to a permanent offer for the right candidate as the legal team continues to grow.
The selected attorney will provide direct support on litigation matters with an emphasis on:
eDiscovery workflows, including defensible collection, document review, and production
Litigation support, including drafting discovery responses, motions, deposition outlines, and assisting with trial preparation
Partnering with internal operations, legal tech, and client teams to ensure legal strategies are implemented with precision and efficiency
The firm utilizes a cloud-based eDiscovery platform and is looking for someone who can get up to speed quickly on the tech side while integrating well with legal and operational teams.
Basic Requirements for the Senior Litigation Associate Attorney:
A minimum of 2–5 years of litigation experience, ideally with hands-on eDiscovery responsibilities
Strong writing skills and a practical approach to legal problem-solving
Enjoys working in a hybrid office model and values face-to-face collaboration
Tech-savvy and can easily navigate legal software and data tools
Works well with cross-functional teams and contributes positively to team culture
Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Position Details of the Senior Litigation Associate Attorney:
Type of role: Law Firm Engagement
Schedule: Full-time
Duration: Mid/Late May – September 2025, with the potential of extension to perm., upon successful engagement and mutual agreement
Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $300,000 to $400,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
