San Diego-based law firm is looking to engage a CA-licensed Junior Associate Litigation Attorney with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a business and real estate background, but candidates with general litigation experience and an interest in developing a business/real estate practice area will be considered as well.
In close collaboration with the firm’s litigation team, the Associate will be responsible for managing a diverse array of cases and will report directly to the firm’s Partners. This is a hands-on role involving the full scope of litigation work, from legal research/writing and written discovery to deposition and dispositive motion hearings, and will have an active involvement in trial prep under the oversight of the firm's Partners. This is a Remote position, and the firm is open to a variety of engagement structures—including contract or contract-to-hire—depending on the Candidate’s goals and fit.
Requirements:
3+ years of litigation experience
Background in business and real estate matters preferred
Experience with all aspects of pre-trial litigation (legal research and writing, motions, depos, hearings, settlement negotiations), as well as trial prep
Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills
Excellent client interface capabilities
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California
J.D. from an accredited law school

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
