Are you a commercial litigator looking for a change of pace from the typical law firm grind? Would you like to continue to work from home on a reduced-hour basis even once COVID restrictions are lifted? Do you prefer the “behind the scenes” work of analyzing a case and writing briefs more than taking depositions or appearing in court? Latitude is seeking an attorney with 4+ years of commercial litigation experience in an Am Law 200 (or comparable boutique) firm to work as a Litigation Analyst for a litigation financing company in a reduced-hour, flexible, long-term engagement.

Successful candidate will analyze large, high-dollar commercial cases and prepare/draft thorough analysis of each case, its strengths and weaknesses and likely outcome, to aid financiers in making decisions on whether to fund the litigation. Work will require working closely with outside legal counsel at Am Law 200 firms and corporate clients’ internal team of executives and operations personnel. Must have stellar analytical, writing, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills. All work may be performed remotely from anywhere.

Responsibilities of the Reduced-Hour Commercial Litigation Attorney:

  • Analyzes large, high-dollar commercial litigation matters/cases
  • Works closely with outside legal counsel and corporate client’s internal team to investigate matter, identify key witnesses, collect and review pertinent documents, and analyze case strengths and weaknesses
  • Drafts thorough case summary and analysis; recommends course of action

Required Qualifications for the Reduced-Hour Commercial Litigation Attorney:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Commercial Litigation Associate or Partner at Am Law 200 firm (or comparable boutique firm)
  • Stellar communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with corporate employees at all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Member in good standing of state bar in which candidate plans to practice
  • Writing sample required
  • Outstanding references
