CLO Adds Interim Corporate Attorney and Employment Counsel

When a newly appointed Chief Legal Officer at a national consumer services company stepped into his role, he identified a chance to expand his team’s reach without slowing down key transactions. With major corporate deals underway, he needed additional bandwidth right away. A full-time hire wasn’t practical at that moment, but he wanted to ensure his team could continue to move at the pace of the business.

A couple months later, he anticipated another important need. One of his team members would soon be out on parental leave, and he wanted continuity for the company’s labor and employment matters. He looked for an attorney who could begin part-time, scale up to full-time during the leave, and integrate seamlessly with the team.

SOLUTION

To meet these evolving needs, the CLO turned to Latitude. First, he added a highly qualified corporate attorney to provide steady part-time support on an ongoing basis, ensuring transactions continue to move at the pace the business requires.

To ensure coverage during the parental leave, the CLO brought in a Latitude Attorney with more than two decades of employment law and litigation experience. Selected by both the CLO and the attorney going on leave, she quickly became a key contributor, first providing part-time support, then increasing hours to a full-time contract role during the leave. By the time the scheduled leave ended, her value was undeniable, and the company converted her from interim support to a full-time hire.
