Latitude is seeking a Cybersecurity/Data Privacy Incident Response Attorney to join the first-party incident response team of a dynamic mid-sized firm to assist clients in the diverse and quickly evolving field of data privacy and information security liability. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a niche law firm focused exclusively on counseling organizations in the context of data privacy, including incident response, regulatory investigation, single-plaintiff and class action litigation compliance. Interested lawyers should have 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience at a law firm. Exceptional analytical, written, communication, and preparation skills are a must, plus a focused attention to detail. Candidates can be licensed to practice and in good standing in their state of residence. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity/Data Privacy Incident Response Attorney:
Work in a highly collaborative, team environment to provide legal counsel to organizations investigating and responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents
Collect information needed to understand the issue and scope of each situation, engage and direct experts needed to appropriately investigate and respond to the event, and communicate to regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and other third-parties as needed while advising clients throughout the investigation
Due to the unpredictable nature of cybersecurity events, all partners and associates participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis management support to client
Requirements for the Cyber Incident Response Attorney:
3-5 years of legal experience; cybersecurity experience is preferred but would consider someone with willingness to learn/be trained in cyber law
Licensed to practice in any U.S. state
J.D. from an accredited law school
Exceptional analytical, written, communication, and preparation skills, plus focused attention to detail are key to performing well in this highly responsive environment
Initiative and the ability to independently maintain your own caseload
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
Position Details of the Cyber Incident Response Attorney:

Compensation The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $165,000 or more. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also provided.
