Experienced Insurance Defense Litigator to Work with Latitude’s National Pool of Flexible Legal Talent
PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 31, 2022) – Amanda Hammar has joined Latitude as Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement in the company’s Philadelphia office. In this role, she works with experienced attorneys, paralegals, legal operations professionals, and compliance officers in Philadelphia and nationwide to place them in sophisticated flexible engagement and permanent positions with Latitude’s legal department and law firm clients.
Before joining Latitude, Hammar worked at a boutique defense litigation firm in Philadelphia, where she represented insurance companies in the investigation and litigation of complex matters, including products, commercial vehicle, premises, construction defect, and general liability matters. She simultaneously served as litigation counsel for a private electrical construction company, where she advised on general liability matters as well as contract and indemnification issues. Prior to that, Hammar was an associate at another boutique defense law firm in Philadelphia, where she represented hospitals and medical professionals in malpractice claims.
“We take pride in delivering peer-to-peer client service experiences at Latitude,” said Megan Grossman, Partner in charge of Latitude’s Philadelphia operations. “Amanda’s knowledge of the Philadelphia legal market, her professional experience, and her talent as a relationship builder are all tremendous assets to both clients and candidates. Hammar earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia and her B.S.B.A degree with a focus in Marketing from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
