Former Insurance Executive and In-House Leader Tamara Gauldin Joins Nashville Team

 As a Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement, Gauldin will help match top-tier legal talent with leading legal teams nationwide.

NASHVILLE (April 14, 2026) – Latitude announced today that Tamara Gauldin has joined the company’s Nashville office as a Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement.

Latitude is a globally ranked flexible legal talent company that serves corporate legal departments and law firms by providing experienced former in-house counsel and Big Law attorneys for flexible contract engagements and permanent roles across a wide range of practice areas.

In her role, Gauldin will work closely with Candice Reed, EVP and Partner in charge of Latitude’s Tennessee operations, and the broader recruiting team to support legal departments and law firms nationwide. She will focus on connecting experienced attorneys with meaningful flexible and permanent opportunities aligned with their expertise and career goals.

Gauldin brings a distinctive combination of legal practice, in-house leadership, and business executive experience. Most recently, she served as an insurance executive at a Fortune 500 financial services and property and casualty insurance company, where she helped drive operational and strategic priorities and partnered closely with executive leadership to shape enterprise-wide initiatives.

Earlier in her career at the same organization, Gauldin served as in-house Managing Attorney, leading a team of legal professionals, guiding litigation strategies, and strengthening partnerships with clients and senior leaders. As Senior Staff Counsel, she handled complex commercial and personal lines matters including employment law, workers’ compensation, premises liability, fire loss, and managed all aspects of litigation. She has substantial jury trial experience across West, Middle, and East Tennessee and has successfully briefed and argued cases before the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

Gauldin earned her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and social work from Union University.
