Latitude Adds Anne McKnight as Director of Legal Recruiting & Placement

Former Am Law 100 Attorney to Connect Premier Legal Talent with Flexible Legal Roles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 23, 2022) – Anne McKnight has joined Latitude as Director of Legal Recruiting and Placement in the company’s Nashville office. In this role, McKnight works with experienced attorneys, paralegals, legal operations professionals and compliance officers in Tennessee and throughout the country by matching them with corporate legal departments and law firms in high-end contract engagements and traditional permanent positions.

Prior to joining Latitude, McKnight practiced employment law at Am Law 100 firm Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart, P.C., in Nashville, where she represented and worked with companies of all sizes.

With nearly 15 years in private practice, McKnight gained extensive experience providing strategic legal guidance, conducting internal investigations, and defending employment claims and lawsuits in state and federal courts and with governmental agencies. She also served as a frequent speaker and contributor for various companies, associations, and legal publications providing training and insight on myriad employment law topics.

“Anne’s legal experience, particularly with an Am Law 100 firm, gives her a strong understanding of our clients’ needs and expectations and also allows her to relate to our candidates as a peer,” said Candice Reed, Executive Vice President and Partner in charge of Latitude’s Tennessee operations. “In addition to being a former attorney, Anne is also a wife and mother to two young children, so she understands how one’s career goals and life priorities shift over time. Her personal perspective, along with her innate curiosity and concern for others, makes her a valuable resource and natural support to other legal professionals who are considering a job change or seeking more flexibility to align their work with their own priorities.”

“Latitude understands that many legal professionals love what they do, but simply want to explore flexible career opportunities,” McKnight said. “I’m excited to be part of a company that offers talented attorneys and other legal professionals engagement opportunities that are both engaging and flexible, and at the same time get our clients the help that they need to avoid burning out their other team members.”

McKnight earned her J.D. and B.S. from the University of Kentucky. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Nashville Software School, and she is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Lawyers’ Association for Women and Middle Tennessee Society for Human Resource Management.

Headquartered in Nashville, Latitude works with corporate legal departments and law firms nationwide with additional offices in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Indianapolis, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Francisco and St. Louis.
